Decoration ceremony was held for the soldiers of the logistical support element of the U.S. rotational force in Lithuanian at Vytenis Main Support Logistics Battalion based in Marijampolė. The outgoing U.S. rotation was completing different logistical support assignments and took part in joint training and exercises with Vytenis Battalion personnel. The outgoing U.S. troops will be replaced by a new rotation.

At the ceremony Ambassador of the U.S. in Lithuania HE Anne Hall and Commander of the 310th Sustainment Command Brigadier General Vincent Barker thanked Lithuanian soldiers and local residents for the warm welcome and active cooperation in strengthening security in the region. Commander of Lithuania's Logistical Command Lieutenant Colonel Ramūnas Baronas thanked U.S. troops for the cooperation and underscored the opportunity to train and work alongside U.S. military personnel.


The outgoing U.S. soldiers were awarded Lithuanian Armed Forces medals of different levels for dedicated service and close cooperation, also, a group of soldiers were presented with commendations of the Mayor of Marijampolė.


Soldiers from various U.S. logistical units have been serving in Vytenis Battalion on a rotational basis since June 2015.
