On April 24-28 international Exercise Knight Executes 2023 at the Adazi training area in Latvia trained skills of planning and executing defensive operation in composition of a division. The multinational training force closely cooperated to hone interoperability and division, brigade and battalion-level procedures in line with NATO standards.
The exercise is organized by the Multinational Division North (MND-N) under leadership of Danish Armed Forces Major General Flemming Mathiasen. Knight Executes 2023 trained Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Swedish, British, Italian and U.S. troops. The Lithuanian Armed Forces was represented by members of the command staff of the Lithuanian Great Hetman Jonas Karolis Chodkevičius Infantry Brigade Griffin who were supported by Lithuanian Air Force and Col Juozas Vitkus Engineer Battalion servicemembers.
