March 22-23, representatives of the Headquarters Allied Force Command Heidelberg (HQ FC Heidelberg) Forward Support Element, Ist and IInd NATO Signal Battalions, and the NATO Maintenance and Supply Organisation (NAMSO) visited Lithuanian Gen Adolfas Ramanauskas Warfare Training Centre (Nemenčinė) and Pabradė Training Area. The guests arrived to familiarise with the venue and infrastructure of the Steadfast Juncture 2011 exercise where the guest forces, exercise command and evaluating team will be stationed this autumn.

 

NATO representatives assessed the scope of the Host Nation Support (HNS) Lithuania is capable of rendering, inquired after the conditions of work, storage of tangibles, accommodation and catering, welfare, in the territory of Pabradė Training Area, estimated the equipment that will be necessary for the arriving forces to bring to ensure uninterrupted functioning throughout the exercise.

 

Steadfast Juncture 2011 will take place in several countries simultaneously while the command and control will be conducted via NATO's communication and information channels. In Lithuania the training event will be held in Pabradė Training Area. The number of personnel involved in Steadfast Juncture 2011 centers around 2011.

 

Steadfast Juncture 2011 will be held this autumn to certify the redeployed joint headquarters element of the Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Brunssum (the Netherlands) and NATO Response Force staffs for 2012.
