From November 30 to December 2 LITHAF Military Police arranged meeting of Lithuanian and US staffs of the Police Operational Mentoring and Liaison Team (POMLT-4) that begins training before deployment in Ghor, province of Afghanistan.

 

In the meeting the main combat training events, were discussed and points of logistic provision addressed with attendance of representatives of the US Pennsylvania National Guard, US Army Europe Command (USAREUR), US Embassy in Lithuania, the Lithuanian Joint Headquarters and Military Police.

 

According to the commander of POMLT-4 Capt Darius Bartaševičius, the meeting was an excellent opportunity to familiarize with the future colleagues, discuss standard procedures of activity and fine points of tactics. A number of organizational matters was resolved during the meeting that will facilitate collective training as well as service in multinational operation.

 

Commander POMLT-3 Maj Saulius Gurauskas was also present at the meeting, he shared his experience from the recent duty and spared no advice for training personnel

 

Lithuanian and US troops agreed to collaborate closely online before the beginning of the collective training which will begin in spring 2012 in Lithuania.
