Active phase at Exercise Iron Wolf 2021-II

October 18, Exercise Iron Wolf 2021-II integration phase ended. It trained individual units to conduct combat actions together which will be put to use the main part of the exercise, “force on force” offensive and defensive actions. This phase will test the ability of the NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group, Algirdas Mechanized Infantry Battalion Headquarters personnel and the MIB Iron Wolf Reconnaissance Company to plan and execute offensive, defensive, and other types of military operations.

The exercise trains over 3000 military personnel with 1000 items of military equipment at the General Silvestras Žukauskas Training Area in Pabradė, it is one of the largest training Lithuania holds this year. The training audience represents the Lithuanian Land Force, Special Operations Forces, Air Force, Training and Doctrine Command, Military Police, Military Medical Service, and the Military Ordinariate of Lithuania

Aside from the Lithuanian military, units from Belgium, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Spain, United States, Latvia, Poland, Luxembourg, Norway, Netherlands, Germany, and Ukraine train at Iron Wolf 2021-II.

Exercise Iron Wolf 2021-II ends at the end of this week.
