On 21th of September, in the lake of „Talkša", the event of "Dragon" class boat race for the Šiauliai City Mayor's Cup - „Regatta Talkša 777" was organized. Two military teams were also attending this event, which was dedicated to the 777th birthday of Siauliai city. United Lithuanian Air Force Aviation Base and Armament and Equipment Repair Depot Team "Spartaniečiai" after a hard fight won the 3rd place. Belgium's Royal Air Force detachment representatives, who are currently in charge of the NATO air policing mission over the Baltic states, were also participating. Unfortunately, the first rowing race of the Belgian team "Wings" wasn't very successful and they retreated further struggle.

"Dragon" class boat is a 10 place boat with eight rowers, one steersman and one drummer. The fastest team who completed the 500 meters distance in 2.29 min. was called "Kalniukas". Second, just 10 seconds behind finished Siauliai Fire and Rescue Service team - "St. Florian" (2.39 min.). The third place was taken by the joint Lithuanian Air Force Aviation Base and Armament and Equipment Repair Depot command "Spartaniečiai" (2.50 min.). Šiauliai Remand Prison workers were in the fourth place with the result of 2.52 min. The fifth place went to Belgium's Royal Air Force detachment "Wings" team (2.59 min). Sixth place, with the time of 3.10 min. was taken by Siauliai City Police team.
