Chief of the Defence Staff of the Lithuanian Armed Forces Maj Gen Vitalijus Vaikšnoras is visiting the Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) in Brunssum (the Netherlands) on May 7-9 where he is taking part in a multinational NATO exercise.
The Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum oversees NATO mission in Afghanistan Resolute Support, NATO Response Force (NRF) on standby, and generation of the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF). It also ensures communication between NATO Command and military structures.
JFC Headquarters in Brunssum is the office to the Commander of the Allied Joint Force Command, General Riccardo Marchio.
