On August 24 Chief of General Staff of Poland (Chief of Staff) Gen Miechysław Cieniuch will pay a visit to the Air Base of Lithuanian Air Force (LITHAF) in Šiauliai. The high guest will meet with Chief of Staff of Lithuania Lt Gen Arvydas Pocius, Commander of the Lithuanian Air Force Maj Gen Edvardas Mažeikis, Political Director of the Ministry of National Defence Dr Vaidotas Urbelis, and other representatives of the Ministry and the Armed Forces.
Short bilateral meetings which will focus on defence and security affairs are scheduled in the framework of the visit.
Later Chief of General Staff of Poland will meet with the Polish air military personnel deployed on the Baltic Air Policing mission in Šiauliai.
