“The war in Ukraine has consolidated the response of NATO leadership and Allies to the increase threat. We could see that clearly at the NATO Summit as well. Now we need to put in a lot of work to deliver on the decisions, one of such jobs is to review and adapt operational plans. The new JFCBS Commander and I have discussed force generation in his area of responsibility and integration of Lithuania’s national plans into the regional planning. Such discussion is imperative across all levels at all times to ensure efficiency and timeliness,” says Chief of Defence Lt Gen V. Rupšys.
Headquarters Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (HQ JFCBS) is an operational-level NATO command that provides command and control to the NATO Response Force (NRF) and generation of the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF).
