March 25-26, Maj Gen Edvardas Mažeikis, Commander of the Lithuanian Air Force, will conduct a visit at the NATO Allied Air Command Ramstein (Germany) and participate in a meeting of the Air Defence Committee (ADC).
At the meeting points of relevance for the Alliance will be addressed - the upcoming NATO Summit in Chicago will be represented, the Smart Defence concept, missile defence, airspace control and command will be discussed.
The Air Defence Committee is a superior institution in charge of coordination of all the aspects of NATO integrated air and missile defence including airspace control and command. As a senior institution the Committee reports directly to the North Atlantic Council.
