On January 31 Commander of the Lithuanian Land Force Maj Gen Valdemaras Rupšys met with Commanders of the NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battalion Battle Group in Lithuania - outgoing Commander Lt Col René Braun (German Armed Forces) and incoming Commander Lt Col Peer Papenbroock - at the Defence Staff of the Lithuanian Armed Forces. Joint military training plans of the Land Force units and the NATO eFP BG and other topics were discussed at the meeting.
Commander of the Lithuanian Land Force Maj Gen Valdemaras Rupšys presented to outgoing Commander NATO eFP BG Lithuania Lt Col René Braun for the six months of impeccable service and personal contribution to a stronger Lithuania's security with a replica axe of Medieval Lithuanian warriors.
On February 4 the second anniversary of deployment of the NATO eFP BG in Lithuania will be marked at a ceremony on the parade ground of the Lithuanian Great Hetman Jonušas Radvila Training Regiment in Rukla. The Commanders will officially rotate during the same event.
