Danish and Lithuanian soldiers has visited babies’ orphanage

On the 29th of January Lithuanian Air Force base personnel and Danish Royal Air Force soldiers, who are currently in charge of NATO QRA mission over three Baltic States visited Šiauliai babies' orphanage.

 

The main goal of the visit was to spend some time with the children - to give what they need most - communication. There are only 2 adults for every 15 children group, and kids do not get as much attention as they need. Half of the day soldiers were playing with children, reading stories and helping them to taste treats - fruit, juice and milk desserts.

 

At the end of the visit Danish soldiers promised to be back soon, spend more time with kids and bring things that babies orphanage need.

 

Danish Royal Air Force detachment currently is in charge of NATO QRA mission over three Baltic States. Danish comrades have started their fourth mission on the 3rd of January, 2013. For four months period Danish Air Force has deployed 47 soldiers and 4 fighters F - 16. The commander of the detachment is major Kresten Dam Andersen.
