Denmark's frigate to briefly visit Klaipėda Seaport

On March 24 HDMS Niels Juel F-363 command and supply ship of the Royal Danish Navy assigned to the Standing NATO Maritime Group One (SNMG1) will enter Klaipėda Seaport.

The ship ‘s visit will be brief and for logistical supply purpose. SNMG1 Commander Captain (Navy) Soeren Thinggard Larsen (Denmark) will be aboard.

NATO has four standing maritime groups comprising two immediate response forces. Two of them (SNMG1 and SNMG2) join together large surface combat warship, such as frigates and cruisers. The other two (SNMCMG1 and SNMCMG2) are maritime units of mine countermeasures ships. The number in the group name indicates its region of actions (No 1 in Northern European waters, and No. 2 - in Southern European waters). More information
