Enhanced Forward Presence Commanders Conference in Vilnius

November 27, Vilnius hosted conference of Commanders of the enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) Host Nations, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, and the respective Framework Nations, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Germany. The trilateral cooperation conference was attended by army leadership and delegates of the participating nations. The event was attended by Commander of the Lithuanian Land Force Brigadier General   Artūras Radvilas and Commander of the 21 st Armored enhanced Vigilance Activity (eVA) Brigade Brigadier General Marco Eggert who is in charge of the eVA Forward Command Element permanently deployed in Lithuania.   

“This Conference highlights the close collaboration of between NATO Allies in working towards better resilience and ability to respond to security challenges of the region. Discussion into the lessons learned in earlier training events will allow us to further improve mutual efforts in ensuring our security,” said Commander of the Lithuanian Land Force Brigadier General Artūras Radvilas at the Conference.    

The 3+3 Conference focused on regional security, integration of Allied units, interoperability and Host Nation Support. Completed and planned readiness training and exercise were discussed, lessons identified and learned in the combat readiness training cycle of last year were analyzed. A debate took place to explore the most effective ways to step deterrence and defence in the Baltic states.

The Baltic enhanced Forward Presence Commanders Conference is a series of 3+3 platform for addressing regional security situation, Allied integration and interoperability, and mutual synchronization.
