On May 9-13 FS Pluvier (P678) patrol ship of the French Navy will be visiting Klaipėda Seaport. The ship's Commanding Officer will meet with leadership of the Lithuanian Navy, Mayor of Klaipėda Vytautas Grubliauskas, and visit the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre of the Lithuanian Armed Forces.
This is not the first time the ship is visiting Lithuania. Its last port call took place in May 2015 after international exercise Baltic Sarex, the ship's crew paid tribute to French prisoners of war who built the Wilhelm Canal and died there together with the Ambassador of France in Lithuania, leadership of Lithuania's National Defence System, and colleagues from the Lithuanian Navy.
