NATO soldiers and equipment (PzH200 self-propelled howitzers, FUCHS armoured personnel carriers, FENNEK armoured reconnaissance ATVs, etc.) with Germany's 295 Artillery Battalion arrived in Lithuania via railway to take part in multinational Exercise Iron Wolf 2016.
On June 6 the German equipment was offloaded from railcars and transported to Gaižiūnai Training Area (Jonava distr.) by trucks.
German troops will be training alongside Danish, French, Lithuanian, Luxembourg's and U.S. military personnel in field training exercise Iron Wolf 2016 at Gaižiūnai Training Area (Jonava district), and territories of Jonava, Kaunas, and Kėdainiai districts, on June 11-21.
This part of the exercise will train and certify a battalion task force formed by the 2nd Brigade, Danish Division, soldiers and a Lithuanian company for standby for the NATO Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF).
The battery of the German Artillery Battalion will be deployed in Lithuania until the end of August.

• June 11 - static display by Kaunas Castle (12-3.00 p.m.);
• June 11 - static display in Kaišiadorys, Birutės str. (12-3.00 p.m. val.);
• June 12 - static displays for Dragoon Ride II:
Kėdainiai: Senoji rinka Square (12-3.00 p.m.);
Biržai: J. Janonis Square (2-5.00 p.m.);
Kupiškis: former barracks territory (12-3.00 p.m.);.
Route of the military column: Kalvarija - Marijampolė - Kaunas - Kėdainiai - Panevėžys.
