On July 27 Exercise Sea Griffin will be conducted by the Lithuanian Great Hetman Jonas Karolis Chodkevičius Infantry Brigade Griffin in Klaipėda Seaport water area and Klaipėda city for military personnel of the Griffin Brigade, Juozas Vitkus Engineer Battalion, Air Force Air Defence Battalion, Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group One (SNMCMG1) and the rotational Portuguese force in Lithuania.
Exercise Sea Griffin trains Klaipėda harbor defence of infantry, air defence, EOD and rotational Portuguese capabilities and coordination between crews of the Griffin Brigade and SNMCMG1. The training will involve movement of forces with arms, military vehicles, light-weight boats, helicopter.
