November 18, Chief of Defence of Lithuania Maj. Gen. Arvydas Pocius will take part in a bilateral one day meeting with the Polish Chief of General Staff (Polish Chief of Defence) Gen. Franciszek Gągor in Warsaw, Poland.
Lithuanian Chief of Defence is also planned to meet the Polish Defence Minister Bogdan Klich in the framework of the meeting, he will also visit Operations Staff of Polish Armed Forces, and lay flowers at the grave for the unknown soldier.
In the meeting the CHODs will discuss the input of Lithuanian and Polish armed forces into formation of the EU and NATO capabilities, transformation of the Polish Armed Forces, and NATO Baltic Air-policing mission. The meeting officers will also address the concept of the joint Lithuanian, Polish, and Ukrainian brigade LITPOLUKRBRIG project.
The Protocol of Intent on formation of a joint Lithuanian, Polish and Ukrainian brigade was signed during a November 16 EU Defence Ministers' meeting in Brussels.
