Lithuanian Navy Commander took part in NATO’s Maritime Operational Commanders' Conference

On March 21–23 Commander of the Lithuanian Navy Capt (Navy) Giedrius Premeneckas attended the annual NATO Maritime Operational Commanders' Conference at the headquarters of the NATO’s Allied Maritime Command (HQ MARCOM). The event focussed on the maritime dimension of the security situation, deterrence measures against Russia and priorities in strengthening cohesion of Allied nations and their readiness to respond to challenges ahead.

The maritime leaders also held a discussion on development plans and exchanged regional perspectives on the security situation. Commander of NATO's Allied Maritime. Command Vice Admiral Keith Blount praised the Lithuania Navy’s capability contribution to SNMCMG1 and active involvement in the Alliance initiatives for strengthening maritime security.
