On November 4–7 international tactical exercise Baltic Fortress 2024 was organized by the Lithuanian Navy with support of a NATO-accredited Centre of Excellence for Operations in Confined and Shallow Waters group. This was the first exercise of the series utilizing the NATO’s modelling and simulation system.
Baltic Fortress 2024 was conducted by the Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian navy staffs and the Combined Task Force (CTF) Baltics which coordinates navies in the Baltic Sea region.
Exercise Baltic Fortress has been organized since 2008 on a rotational basis in one of the Baltic states.
