On March 4–5 Head of the NATO Geospatial Aeronautical Working Group (GAWG) Jens Schulte paid a visit to the Lithuanian Armed Forces Military Cartography Centre. The meeting addressed air navigation data and map use in flight planning and execution, as well as opportunities for the GWAG to contribute in developing and improving air navigation products.
The guest familiarized with the production and updating of navigation charts done at the Military Cartography Centre aiming for a better understating of the needs of end users, the flight crews, for air navigation production, and discussed the data, software and other products pilots use on their missions.
