On September 22 representatives from the U.S. Army in Europe, German Ministry of Defence, Land Force and Navy, and NATO's Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast in Szczecin discussed the joint U.S.-German-led Trans-Atlantic Capability Building and Training (TACET) with Lithuanian representatives at the Joint Staff of the Lithuanian Armed Forces in Vilnius.
Ways of cooperation in designated areas with the Lithuanian Land, Air and Special Operations Forces and the Lithuanian Navy were discussed at the meeting.
Cooperative training of Lithuanian troops with military personnel of TACET countries in military exercises, both in Lithuania and abroad, was accentuated as one of the main ways of cooperation at the meeting.
Future prospect of developing TACET encompasses not only development of the Lithuanian Armed Forces' capabilities but also development of military cooperation with other nations involved.
