Multinational exercise „Jackal Stone 2010": visitors' and media day

September 21, visitors' and media day of the multinational special operations forces exercise „Jackal Stone 2010" is held at the Lithuanian Grand Duke Butigeidis Dragoon Battalion in Klaipėda: exercise and its course will be presented to participants of the event.

 

The biggest multinational special operations forces exercise „Jackal Stone 2010" this year is on simultaneously in Lithuania (Klaipėda) and Poland from September13. The exercise involves over 1,1 thousand special operations forces troops from seven countries: Lithuania, Poland, USA, Latvia, Croatia, Romania, and Ukraine. The exercise is conducted under coordination of the Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR).

 

„Jackal Stone 2010" began on September 13 and will end September 27.

 

The key purpose of „Jackal Stone 2010" is to concert actions for special operations by joint activities and to share experience gained during exercises and missions in Afghanistan.

Visitors' and media day of the multinational special operations forces exercise „Jackal Stone 2010" will take place at the Lithuanian Grand Duke Butigeidis Dragoon Training Battalion in Klaipėda (Liepojos str. 5) on September 21.

 

Program

 

Beginning, arrival of guests - 10.30 a.m.;
Display of weaponry (video and photo opportunity) - 11.30-11.40 a.m.;
Departure for the exercise site - 11.40 a.m.;
Return to Dragoon Battalion - 12.40 p.m.;
Meeting with media, presentation of the exercise - 12.45 p.m.

Meeting with media begins at 12.45p.m. Media representatives who wish to attend the event from the beginning should arrive at Dragoon Battalion on September 21 at 10.15 a.m.
Media representatives willing to take part in the meeting with visitors only should arrive at Dragoon Battalion on September 21 at 13.30 p.m.

 

Registration

 

Media representatives who wish to take part in the visitors' and media day on September 21 are to register before September 20 at 00370-46-391441, mob. 8-650-28100 (SOP PR Officer). Full name, represented media and contact information will be required. Please, have personal identification documents and press pass with you in the event.
