Multinational military police exercise Sheriff 2025 concluded

On March 29–April 4 the fourth annual military police exercise, Sheriff 2025, was conducted in Marijampolė district, for the second consecutive year in a multinational configuration.  Over 200 Lithuanian Military Police servicemembers, Allies from the United States, Germany, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia and Portugal, as well as Public Security Service officers and 30 active reserve members trained in the event.

It has been an exceptional drills requiring concentration because it challenged the participants not just to train side by side with the Allies and law enforcement officers, but also to complete tasks in a real-life search and rescue operation in Pabradė.

The exercise scenario comprised training of riot control, VIP protection, person detention and convoy, identification and investigation of illicit activities and other tasks across different locations in Marijampolė District. 

The aim of the exercise is to train Lithuanian Military Police units in planning and execution of joint combat support operations with Allied Military Police colleagues and Lithuanian law enforcement institutions.

Members of the active reserve kicked off preparatory training two weeks ahead of Exercise Sherriff 2025, the final portion of their training was done integrated in the exercise scenario acting side by side with MP crews advancing one of the exercise objectives, streamlined and integrated cooperation with the Military Police.
