On June 20 former US Defence Attaché in Lithuania Col Jeffrey L. Jennette and his newly accredited successor Lt Col Robert A. Mcvey paid a visit to the Defence Staff of the Lithuanian Armed Forces.
Chief of the Defence Staff Maj Gen Vitalijus Vaikšnoras thanked Col J. L. Jennette for excellent service and wished success in his next position. General also welcomed the new Defence Attaché, Lt Col Robert A. Mcvey, and wished success in continuing the ongoing bilateral defence cooperation projects.
The new Defence Attaché in Lithuania graduated from Loyola University Chicago, the Joint Forces Staff College, studied at the US Army Command and General Staff College. He has served in different units of the US Armed Forces and was deployed to Iraq. Prior to the appointment as the Defence Attaché in Lithuania LT Col R. A. Mcvey worked at the US Embassy in Latvia. HE was the US Defence Attaché in Lithuania from 2011 to 2014.
