Plans ahead discussed with NATO eFP Provost Marshal

March 18, Commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces Military Police Lt Col Raimondas Ivanauskas met with Provost Marshal of the new rotation of the NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battalion Battle Group CApt Matthias Dörre.

Provost Marshal is the officer of the highest rank or holding the highest position in the time of military operations who is in charge of coordination of the activities of the police, MP, and other law enforcement in the area of operations, and renders expertise to the commander of the supported military unit on Military Police deployment options.

The foreign guests were briefed on the activities, organisation, and tasks of the Lithuanian Armed Forces Military Police. Other topics reviewed during the visit were the challenges the pervious eFP rotation had faced, measures to further improve the cooperation, and other relevant service matters.

The Lithuanian Military Police supports the NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battalion Battle Groups during redeployments from site to site in Lithuania, and in case of necessity , ensures protection and mobility by means of escorts.
