Representatives of the U.S. Congress paid a visit to the Mechanised Infantry Brigade Iron Wolf

On August 7 U.S. Congressman Devin Nunes and a delegation paid a work visit to the Mechanised Infantry Brigade (MIB) Iron Wolf (Lithuanian Land Force). During the visit the U.S. representatives familiarised with the relevant issues of deployment and combined training of the 173rd Airborne Brigade's 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment and the MIB Iron Wolf.

At a meeting with Commander MIB Iron Wolf Colonel Raimundas Vaikšnoras and the leadership of the U.S. unit deployed in Rukla the guests discussed integration of U.S. military into the general combat training schedule of the Lithuanian Land Force and the MIB Iron Wolf, common objectives, tasks and course, reviewed the recent and the upcoming exercises in Lithuania and abroad, and other issues.

Later the guests met with U.S. soldiers at the Duke Vaidotas Mechanised Infantry Brigade, talked to them about their bilateral cooperation experience, conditions of training and lodging, and other points, and observed a combined Lithuanian-U.S. combat self-defence training event.
