Three NATO army commanders on a visit in Lithuania

December 15 through 17 Land Force Commanders of Germany, the Netherlands and Norway, respectively, Lt Gen Alfons Mais, Lt Gen Martin Wijnen and Maj Gen Lars Lervik, were visiting Lithuania. They met with Commander of the Lithuanian Land Force Brig Gen Raimundas Vaikšnoras, visited the Mechanized Infantry Brigade Iron Wolf Headquarters and met with troops of their countries deployed in Lithuania with the NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battalion Battle Group.

Lithuanian and Dutch army commanders discussed 2021 military cooperation and plans for next year, regional security situation, and signed a Protocol of Intent on intensified bilateral cooperation in the area of combat engineering.

Chief of the Norwegian Army Maj Gen Lars Lervik who is visiting Lithuania for the first time shared insight on the e current affairs with Commander Land Force Brig Gen Raimundas Vaikšnoras and also familiarized with the Lithuanian Land Force and the current security situation in the region.
