 U.S. Navy Operations Coordinator for the US Embassy paid a visit to the Lithuanian Navy

 

On August 2 Master Chief Petty Officer of the Lithuanian Navy MCPO Gediminas Zabitis met with Operations Coordinator for the U.S. Embassy U.S. Navy CPO John M. Boyers.  

 

CPO John M. Boyers has been recently posted to the United States Embassy in Vilnius and promises to continue the years-long close cooperation between the Lithuanian and U.S. Navies.


At the meeting at the Lithuanian Navy Headquarters Lithuanian and U.S. Chiefs discussed further perspectives of cooperation with the key focus on NCOs corps and sharing information and experience related to the maritime processes.


MCPO G. Zabitis represented to the guest the activity of the LITHNAVY association "Laivūnų klubas" and invited him to join it. CPO John M. Boyers accepted the invitation.


"Laivūnų klubas" organises activities for the members of the association to propagate traditions and history of the Lithuanian Navy, to unify LITHNAVY ordinary ranks and officers, shape and diffuse military and naval traditions and values in the Lithuanian society, to strengthen the bonds between the military and the civilian societies, raise and develop a creative, democratic, free and open society, to represent the interest of the association members, and to defence them.
