On February 24 when anniversary of the Russian invasion in Ukraine was marked, several groups of Ukrainian troops finished training in Lithuania and were awarded graduation certificates. One of the groups received 3-stage Shooting Instructor Course certificates at the Lithuanian Armed Forces Training and Doctrine Command and another group received CBRN Defence Course certificates at the Lithuanian Land Force Juozas Lukša Training Centre. After three weeks of light and dark part of the day firing exercises with the equipment available at the Lithuanian Armed Forces the Ukrainian troops have obtained the shooting instructor qualification and will be able to transfer their new skills to brothers-on-arms.
An intense training cycle for Ukrainian troops began in the Lithuanian Armed Forces in the second part of January. The training is conducted at courses delivered by the Lithuanian Land Forces, Air Force, Special Operations Forces, Military Police and Training and Doctrine Command, and at joint courses with the UK, Germany and the Nordic countries that prepare the Ukrainian military to operate and maintain the weaponry, equipment and vehicles transferred to Ukraine, as well as train military leaders and specialists of different levels.
