On March 26-27 a delegation of attendees of the Command and General Staff Course at the Command Academy of Bundeswehr, Germany, conducted a visit in Lithuania accompanied by Defence Attaché of the Federal Republic of Germany in Lithuania Lieutenant Colonel Achim Neitzert (based in Riga). The two-day call schedule covered visits to the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence, the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Museum of Genocide Victims, a flower laying ceremony at the graves of freedom fighters and a meeting with the Jewish Community of Vilnius.
Attendees of the Command and General Staff Course of the Command Academy of Bundeswehr are visiting Lithuania for the second time in the history of the Academy (the first visit took place in 2012).
A number of officers of Lithuanian Armed Forces in a capacity of command, including the incumbent Chief of Defence of Lithuania Lieutenant General Arvydas Pocius, are graduates of the Command Academy of Bundeswehr.
