September 10-14, four soldiers of the Lithuanian Naval Force Underwater Action Team will participate in the mine clearance exercise (organized by the USA) in Latvia.
During this exercise deminer divers from the U.S. Naval Force component in Europe together with divers of the Lithuanian and Latvian Naval Forces share their experience on destruction of explosive devices in the water and demonstrate state-of-the-art mine clearance equipment.
Underwater Action Team is one of the units of the Naval Forces, which conducts naval and land mine clearance operations, participate in search and rescue operations, destroy unexploded ammunition or perform other tasks.
