On June 22 Commander of the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Gen William M. Fraser and a delegation including U.S. Ambassador in Lithuania Anne E. Derse paid a visit to the Lithuanian Navy Headquarters in Klaipėda.
The guests met with Commander-in-Chief of the Lithuanian Navy Rear Admiral Kęstutis Macijauskas. The meeting officers discussed the importance of security and mutual cooperation related to transiting NATO cargos via Klaipėda Seaport, and the possibilities of transiting NATO freight from Afghanistan to the United States via Klaipėda Seaport.
