On July 17 certificates of graduation from the International Military Instructor Course were presented to 20 Ukrainian soldiers at the Division General Stasys Raštikis Lithuanian Armed Forces School. The 5-week course answering to Ukraine's need was arranged for Ukrainian NCOs in Lithuania through NATO brokering.

The course delivered by Lithuanian instructors with previous training in NATO countries was focusing on the skills and knowledge Ukrainian military personnel needed for planning and organising military exercises.

"The content of the course syllabus has changed significantly for the better to reflect current transformation in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This course has pulled together NCOs of the young generation serving as military instructors across all services of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," Chief of the NCO School of the Lithuanian Armed Forces School Sergeant Major Bronius Basalykas said. He described the Ukrainian students as motivated soldiers actively seeking to improve their skills which they would soon be using in their capacities.

The course encompassed such topics as basics of military training, and arrangement of weaponry and shooting, preparatory and live exercises. The course syllabus was compiled to enhance the knowledge and skills Ukrainian military instructors needed to have to arrange theoretic and practical exercises for military personnel while applying advanced best practices of NATO countries' military pedagogics.

The certificate and course badges awards ceremony was conducted in attendance of Military Attaché of Ukraine in Lithuania Captain (Navy) Dmytro Donskoi, Head of the MoD Department for International Relations and Operations Robertas Šapronas, Commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces School Lieutenant Colonel Stasys Paldūnas, Sergeant Major of the Joint Staff Sergeant Major Virginijus Molis, and acting Sergeant Major of the Training and Doctrine Command Sergeant Major Aleksandras Balionis.

The Sergeants Training Centre UAF Land Forces is staffed with instructors who had undergone training at the Lithuanian Armed Forces School. The Centre applies the training methodology Ukrainian troops have brought home from the International Military Instructor Course in Lithuania.
