Lietuvos kariuomenės vado gen. Raimundo Vaikšnoro pasodintas ąžuolas minint istorinės vilos „Ramovė“ 90-ies metų įkūrimo metines
Tradicija sodinti medžius, dažniausiai ąžuolus ar jų giraites, siekiant įprasminti įvairius įvykius, sukaktis, asmenybes, Lietuvoje turi gilias šaknis. Šis ąžuolas taip pat turi savo istoriją. Po 1923 m. įvykusio Klaipėdos krašto prijungimo prie Lietuvos, Klaipėdos kareivinėse buvo dislokuotas Lietuvos kariuomenės 7-asis pėstininkų Žemaičių kunigaikščio Butegeidžio pulkas. 1924 m. gegužės 1 d. visai įgulai susirinkus kareivinių kieme, buvo pasodinti trys ąžuolai – Vilniui, Klaipėdai ir Laisvei. Vėlesniais dešimtmečiais, nepaisant visų okupacinių negandų, šie trys ąžuolai išliko ir dabartinio Klaipėdos universiteto miestelyje žaliuoja jau daugiau nei šimtmetį.
2018 m., minint Lietuvos valstybės 100-metį, Universiteto istorikų iniciatyva buvo surinktos ir pasodintos šių istorinių ąžuolų gilės. Klaipėdos universitetas, puoselėdamas ir tęsdamas Lietuvos kariuomenės tradicijas, 2023 m., minint Klaipėdos krašto prijungimo prie Lietuvos 100-metį, pasodino iš tarpukaryje sodintų ąžuolų gilių išaugusius ąžuoliukus Klaipėdos krašto šimtmečio alėjoje.
Šis istorinėje viloje „Ramovė“ Lietuvos kariuomenės vado pasodintas ąžuolas taip pat yra iš tų, prieš 100 metų Lietuvos kariuomenės pasodintų ąžuolų gilių išaugintas medis, kuris simbolizuoja Lietuvos kariuomenės tradicijų, istorijos, pilietinių vertybių puoselėjimo ir pagarbos joms svarbą.
Oak tree planted by the Chief of Defence of Lithuania General Raimundas Vaikšnoras to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the foundation of the historical villa “Ramovė”
Planting trees, usually oak trees or their groves, has long been a symbolic act to mark meaningful events, anniversaries, and personalities, the act has deep roots in Lithuania. This oak tree also has its own history. Following the Klaipėda Region’s annexation to Lithuania in 1923, the 7th Infantry Regiment of the Samogitian Duke Butegeidis of the Lithuanian Armed Forces was deployed in the Klaipėda barracks. On May 1, 1924, the entire unit gathered in the barracks yard and three oak trees were planted in dedication to Vilnius, Klaipėda, and Freedom. In the decades that followed, despite the trials of occupation, these three oak trees endured and have flourished on the current Klaipėda University campus for more than a hundred years.
In 2018, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Lithuanian state, at the initiative of the university historians, acorns from these historical oaks were collected and planted. Klaipėda University, cherishing and continuing the traditions of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the annexation of Klaipėda region to Lithuania, in 2023 planted oak trees grown from the acorns of oaks planted during the interwar period in the Centenary Alley.
This oak tree planted by the Chief of Defence of Lithuania General Raimundas Vaikšnoras in the historic villa "Ramovė" is also a tree grown from the acorns of the oak trees planted by the Lithuanian Armed Forces 100 years ago, it symbolizes the importance of nurturing and respecting the traditions, history, and civic values of the Lithuanian Armed Forces.
